Privacy Policy

Last updated 8 November 2026

AbbyAI provides Abby, an AI receptionist that answers phone calls for healthcare clinics. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and the privacy laws of New Zealand and the United Kingdom where they apply.

Information you give us on this website

When you ask for a free trial, we collect your name, clinic name, email address, phone number, practice software and the plan you are interested in. We use this only to contact you about AbbyAI, set up your trial and run your account. We do not sell it or share it for anyone else's marketing.

Information Abby handles on calls

When a clinic uses Abby, callers may give details such as their name, phone number and the appointment they want. Abby uses these details to book, change or cancel appointments in the clinic's practice software. The clinic is responsible for that patient information and its own privacy policy applies to it. We act on the clinic's behalf and only for that purpose.

  • Abby does not give medical advice and is not designed to collect clinical information.
  • Booking details are written into the clinic's own practice software, not kept by AbbyAI as a patient record.
  • If a clinic stops using AbbyAI, any call data we hold for that clinic is deleted within 60 days.

Who helps us run the service

We use trusted providers to host this website, send email, handle phone calls and convert speech to text. They may process information outside Australia, for example in the United States. We only use providers who protect information to a standard similar to Australian law, and only share what they need to do their job.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Keeping information safe

We use encrypted connections, limit who can access information, and keep it only as long as we need it.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing connor@ctekai.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner or the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

If you were a caller to a clinic, please contact that clinic first, since it controls your patient records.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
